Barry Hawkins and his wife Tara Hawkins exchanged wedding vows at the Rowhill Grange Hotel in Wilmington in June 2012. His better half works at the M & S Food Hall Cafe in Aylesford. She completed her education from Oxted County School.

Barry and his family had to go through a tragic moment in their life when his sister’s husband took his own life in 2017. Barry’s father dropped his son-in-law to his home. After which, Barry's brother-in-law committed suicide.

His brother-in-law was suffering from depression and the whole family thought he was progressing to get back to normal. He never expected that his brother-in-law would take his life that also hampered his game for about six months.

But now, Barry and his family have recovered and enjoyed their time together. The snooker ace often posts pictures of his family on his Twitter account.
