Stan was born with birth name Stanislas Wawrinka on 28th March 1985 in Lausanne, Switzerland. He holds dual German-Swiss citizenships. “Stan The Man” was born with German father Wolfram Wawrinka and Swiss mother Isabella who is an educator and biodynamic farmer.

Stan stands at the height of 6' (1.83 meters). At the age of fifteen, he left his schooling to pursue his career in tennis. The Swiss Maestro has two tattoos inked on his body. Wawrinka has an Italian scripted tattoo on left arm which states “Ever tried, Ever failed, No matter, Try Again, Fail Again, Fail Better."
