Iain De Caestecker was born in Glasgow, Scotland on 29 December 1987. Taking about his education, Iain went to Hillhead Primary School and later, completed HND at Langside College. His height is 1.71 meters (5 feet 7½ inches), but the detail about his weight is unknown.

In his family, he is one of the fourth children of his medical doctor parents. His father and mother were both doctors, and his mother was keen for him to do medicine.
