The 36-year-old Love & Hip Hop alum, Yandy Smith, married fellow reality star, Mendeecees Harris in May 2015. Although they tied the knot in the live television, the duo didn't legalize their marriage. Moreover, her husband got imprisoned for eight years due to a drug-trafficking conspiracy in December 2015. According to the court, the 39-year-old American entrepreneur transported the drugs from New York City to the Rochester region.

When her incarcerated husband was serving behind bars for eight years, in March 2017, Yandy talked with BET about their invalid marriage. The former executive assistant affirmed that no piece of paper could say that Mendeecees is her husband or not. She addressed her love towards the fellow reality star and announced that since their initial meeting, he has become 'her baby daddy, her husband, and everything in between.'

After her baby daddy went to prison, during mid-2017, there were rumors that the Love & Hip Hop alum is pregnant. The speculations sparkled after Yandy attended an event during August 2017 where the fan addressed if she was with a baby bump. However, the reality star ditched all her pregnancy rumors and shared a series of the snapshot on 27 August 2017 in her Instagram with a caption, 'Wait...What...huh? Stop it.'

The VH1 couple met each other in 2006 when Yandy used to work as a manager. She was dating another guy, but after profounding her chemistry with the American entrepreneur, she ditched her ex-beau and fell in love with him. The couple soon welcomed their four kids Mendeecees Harris Jr., Aasim Harris, Skylar Smith Harris, and Omare Harris. They welcomed their first child Omare in July 2012 and embraced their daughter Skylar in May 2015.
