Slowly Brittan switched to basketball and started playing basketball as a point guard for her college team, Florida Atlantic Owls. It was in 2010 when Brittany finally choose to make her career in speed skating. Within a few years, she became a top-rated player. Getting a podium finish in ISU Speed Skating World Cup, being third in 1000m World Cup stop and finally winning her first gold medal at the World Cup stop in Erfurt, Germany, Brittany straight away became one of the top players to have achieved this many titles in a short period.
Brittany's other achievements include winning the bronze medal in the women's 1000 meters distance of the World Single Distance Championships, winning gold in 1000m and 1500m and silver in the 500m in the 2015 World Single Distance Championships.
