When she started her career, there was no woman on the team, and she played with boys to became first ever woman to play full-time hockey. At the tender age of 15, she got selected to the National Women’s Team and went to lift seven World Championship gold medals and settling for a silver medal in three occasions. She is one of the three woman athletes to win most gold medals of any Canadian Olympic history with four gold medals to her credit.
She used to terrorize the defense with her creativity and ability to think outside the box; her stats prove her efficiency as a player. She became country all-time leading goal scorer with 168 career goals and 211 assists in 276 appearances. She is also the Olympic tournament all-time leading goal-scorer with 18 goals under her belt.
After her illustrious career, she decided to hang up her boot in 2017 after winning an 8th gold medal for Canada in World Championship. She announced her retirement from professional hockey on 13th January 2017 to pursue a career in medicine and to take care of his son.

The single of mother Noah loves him to death and describes the family as passionate. She even said that the fondest memory had been the moment she met Noah. When asked about her proudest moment, she gushed that when Noah came to center ice after an Olympic win.
After deciding to hang up her boot, she can now finally concentrate to nourish the teen son who is competitive swimmer himself. Even though Hayley plans on pursuing medicine career, she would undoubtedly give the bulk of her time to her beloved son.
As of now, she is not married. As she kept herself busy in playing arena, she never got time to enjoy your youth and energy, and her dating profile remained for most of her career.
Now in her late thirties, fans would want their former hockey player to share vows with her husband. But she is yet to reveal anything about her marriage.

Hayley Wickenheiser was born among the three Wickenheiser siblings on 12th August 1978 which makes her age 39. She was born as Shaunavon native in Canada to parents Tom and Marilyn Wickenheiser. She grew up with two siblings Ross and Jane. She also had a cousin named Doug who was also an ice hockey player but lost his life due to cancer in 1999.
