The professional baseball player, Robinson Cano started dating his then-girlfriend, Jackelin Castro from 2008. In the course of their three years relationship, the former lovebirds welcomed a son named, Robinson Miguel Cano Castro in 2010. However, their love life could not flourish for over three years, and the couple dispatched their relationship in 2011.

After their split, the former love-duo entangled with the dispute on their son's upkeep. Jackelin demanded more child support claiming that Robinson and his lawyer came at her house in February 2013 and forced her to accept $600 a month for over the next ten years. Also, she added that Robinson tried to intimidate her with the child support proposal. 

Although the lawyers of Jackelin demanded the support of $25,000 a month, she complained that $600 is delivered irregularly through relatives but without notice. 

On the other hand, the baseball player announced that he did not want any disputes in media and wished for the amicable solution to have his time for a son.

Robinson Cano is a father of two children, namely; Robinson Miguel Cano Castro and Galia Sofia. He shares his first child Robinson with his ex-girlfriend, Jackelin Castro. However, the identity of the biological mother of Galia remains behind the bushes. Robinson announced about the delivery of his second child on 31 January 2017 through an Instagram post.

Currently, he relishes a happy life as a proud dad of two kids. Also, he portrays his love attires to his family and kids through social media updates.

Later, his consistency in the same field led him to play with the Estrellas Orientales in the Dominican Winter Baseball League. As a professional MLB player, he joined the New York Yankees in 2005 and played eight seasons. A year after he left the Yankees in 2013, he enrolled himself in Seattle Marine until 2018.

Currently, the San Pedro de Macoris native plays for New York Mets.
