Ronald "Ronny" Delia is a popular Norwegian former professional football player who was born on 21 September 1975 in Porsgunn, Norway. He is also the former manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. Winner of the Norwegian Cup in 2010 and the Norwegian League title in 2013, Deila has spent most of his playing career at Odd before becoming head coach at Stromsgodset. He also won the Scottish Premiership and Scottish League Cup with Celtic in his first season, 2014-15.
Deila has played soccer for several years and has represented his national team in U17, U 18, and U 21. He is a tall man having a height of 6 ft. 2 inches which have played for teams like Odd, Viking, Stromsgodset, and Sparta. He has also been awarded kniksen Award 2013 and has earned name and fame for his wonderful work which he has shown to the team.
Delia commenced his playing career with lower league club, Urad. After that, he joined Odd, where he became a mainstay in their defense. He later played in the side that defeated Viking 2–1 in the Norwegian Cup Final In 2000, his only major honor as a player. He joined Viking in 2004, before moving on to join Stromsgodset as a player or assistant coach in 2006.
Although by 2009 he was coaching Strømsgodset, he combined these duties for a couple of years with playing part-time at lower league Sparta up to 2011. He was also capped nine times for the Norwegian under-17 side and then made two appearances for the under-21s in 1996. But Deila never represented his country at senior level.
Talking about his conjugal life, he is married to Jacqueline James. He is living happily with his wife and baby. The couple has welcomed two children Thale Deila and Live Deila. There are no rumors about their divorce. We are unaware about Delia's previous girlfriend and with whom he was dating.
