She is one of the nine women who won has won an Olympic Gold Medal, a NCAA Championship and a WNBA Championship.

The highly decorated and honored basketball player, became one of the stars of the University of Tennessee women's basketball team after which she got drafted to Indiana Fever in the 2001 WNBA Draft. As she had a hearing disability, she used the faith and sports to overcome it.

The best season of her career would be in 2003 when she averaged the career-high stat of 19.7 ppg. She spent her entire career in a team she began with along with playing for the country and won WNBA championship, WNBA Most Valuable Player Award, WNBA Finals MVP Award, five WNBA Defensive Player of the Year Awards and four Olympic Gold Medals.

She had met her boyfriend for the first time in 2014, and after a year of dating, they got engaged. They married on 7th February in a small ceremony at the Skyline Club in downtown Indianapolis. It was small in a sense that only 27 people were present at the wedding.

The couple has very appreciative of each other. Tamika describes her husband as not just a handsome but a smart and intelligent man. Parnell, who has been a basketball player once also says that she has the biggest heart of all and it was, in fact, the thing that made him fall for her. There has never been anything that could relate to her being lesbian.
