Marcus was born on 24 December 1990 in Chicago city of Illinois state. He stands 1.90m (6ft 3inch) tall and weighs approximately around 92kg.
Trophy Room founder Marcus is a son of Michael Jordan and Juanita Jordan. His father, Micheal, is the 2015 FIBA Hall of Famer & NBA basketball legend, and mother, Juanita, is a former American model, the President of Vanoy Jordan Enterprises LLC (a business consulting company) and the co-founder of Michael & Juanita Jordan Endowment Fund.
The pair got divorced in 2006 after being together for 17 years.

Marcus grew up with two siblings in highland park Illinois; his elder brother is American former basketball player Jeffrey Michael Jordan, and younger sister is Jasmine Michael Jordan, who works as the basketball operations coordinator for their father-owned NBA's Charlotte Hornets.

Marcus first joined Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois. He played basketball with his brother in his sophomore year and led the school to the Conference Championship. The season rewarded best statistics in the school history.
However, Marcus transferred to Whitney Young High School in Chicago for his junior and senior years. There, he played as a Whitney Young Dolphin and led his team to a massive victory on 22 March 2009. He scored game-high 19 points to win Illinois state 4A Championship. In addition, he took home MVP honors during the championship and was even ranked 60th best shooting guard in the country by ESPNU.
Later, after receiving advice from his father, Marcus announced that he would be joining the University of Central Florida in Orlando in 2009. He joined the UCF basketball team and had a successful career during his college years.
But in August 2012, Marcus left his UFC basketball team but continued to take classes in the university and graduated with a Degree in Hospitality Management.
