Alaska was born on 6 March 1985 as Justin Andrew Honard. Although a native of Erie, Pennsylvania, she grew up in New Hampshire.

She was mentored by her drag mother, Jer Ber Jones, after she moved to Los Angeles, California. Jer started getting acting jobs in LA and did drag professionally. Alaska also has three drag sisters in the drag family Nebraska Thunderfuck, Nevada Thunderfuck, and Florida Thunderfuck. Her sister Nebraska also featured in RuPaul’s Drag Race for season five’s makeover challenge.

Shortly, she wishes to see the breakdown in people’s view of the perspectives of sexuality and gender. She believes loosening up in these things, and de-stigmatizing of gender and sexuality belief will bring out the true self of a person where they can freely talk and laugh about it.

On the physical features, Alaska has a height of 1.85 m (6 feet) with a slim built and modest weight. Alaska attended the University of Pittsburgh and majored in theatre studies.

Dating, Partner?

Alaska was previously in a relationship with Sharon Needles, whose real name is Aron Coady. Her ex-partner Sharon is an America’s Next Drag Superstar in 2012 and won the fourth season of the Drag Race.

Although they started dating in 2009, the relationship couldn’t last long for more than four years and had a sad split in December 2013. The breakup was reported to be in mutual consent, and the pair came forward with news regarding their separation in a joint press release.

After her split from Sharon, it looks like Alaska has yet to find a perfect partner. At the moment, the Drag Race winner seems to be enjoying the single life.
