Not every time social media becomes your entertaining and informative mate, sometimes it can drag you to never-ending controversy. Something similar happened with the CNN journalist, Andrew Kaczynski who faced a series of criticism while he tried to handle the feud between CNN and President Trump ignited by Trump's tweet.
Found Himself In Center of Controversy!
In July of 2017, President Trump tweeted an edited clip from his 2007 ‘WrestleMania’ looks where he defeats World Wrestling Entertainment chairman Vince McMahon to the ground. In the tweet, Vince’s head is replaced with a CNN logo referring the President’s ongoing battle with the network.
The tweet became his most shared tweet of all time, but many accused him of provoking violence against the journalist. Later, CNN traced the anonymous meme creator, HanA**holeSolo who posted a similar gif on Reddit and cited his apology without disclosing his name. CNN wrote that they would reveal his identity if the man repeated his ugly behavior.
The article, however, ignited a lot of criticism from the Republican figures claiming that the network had blackmailed the man by exchanging the terms under which withhold the identity. But CNN claimed that they didn’t threaten the user, and Andrew again wrote a tweet in his defense with the apology written by HanA**holeSolo.
