Ray always dreamt of meeting Beyonce whom she also considers as a source of motivation. In her Interview with Hollywood life, Ray shared that while she was getting ready for a stage show, one individual told her that Beyonce would be in the audience. She further told that she freaked out but managed to meet her idol and earn appreciation. While explaining about the meeting, she said,
We did meet. She said I reminded her of herself, because I have the big cheeks, so I was like, “Thank you!” She said to keep up the good work, and I’m still shocked that she gave me two singing solos. That’s probably the biggest thing that’s ever happened to me. Just getting to experience that, I’m ready for anything!
