He came out in the open in 2009 when he was dating his gay partner since 1988, Richie Jackson. Even if he had a gay sexual orientation, he did believe in family and wanted to become a father.
It was back in 2000 when he and his partner Richie hired a surrogate mother to bear the child. Subsequently, the gene of Wong and Richie’s sister combined to give birth to twin sons named Boaz Dov and Jackson Foo Wong.
But after ninety minutes of birth, Boaz lost the life battle and departed due to twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome.

After dating for more than sixteen years and becoming a parent, differences rose between the gay couple.
Following irreconcilable differences, the couple decided to break up in 2004. Although they ended their relationship, they ended on good terms.
They still co-parent their only son Jackson. After the break-up, Jackson went on to get married to Jordon Roth in 2012.
