Betty Idol is a singer-songwriter, recording artist and reality star well known for her featuring in the reality TV show Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta in its season five edition in 2016. Furthermore, she has been signed for her a new reality show Cartel Crew(2019)- which revolves around sons and daughters of the drug lord family 'Cartel.' 

Besides her TV appearance, she has also sung with Rick Ross and Lil Wayne in the song Thug City. She also co-wrote and sang Chainz’s Single Blue Dolphin (Trapavelli Tre mixtape).

Betty made debut as a supporting cast member in season five of the VH1’s reality TV show Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta (2016). She was a producer and openly transgender reality star D Smith’s best friend & confidant. Both Betty and D Smith were friends before making an entering the show.

In the show, Betty moved forward to romance with rapper Lil Scrappy. But, she ended up fighting with urban model & rapper Bambi Benson as well as with fashion designer and stylist Tammy Rivers. She made a total of 10 appearances in the reality show. 

After the season’s reunion special, Betty never returned to the show.

Is She Transgender?

The BFF of transgender producer D Smith, Betty Idol, fell into the speculation of being a transgender since her debut in the show.

But, she has confirmed that she is not a transgender. In an interview with DJ Smallz Eyes 2 in August 2016, she confirmed that she was born as a female. Though she gets lots of comments criticizing her as transgender, she doesn’t take those things negatively and as an offense.

Betty's dating status, as of now, is unclear. However, in an interview with DJ Smallz Eyes 2 in November 2016, she did have opened up about her previous relationships. As confirmed, she was engaged formerly; but she broke up after her athlete-boyfriend cheated on her.

She gave the guy a second chance, but they couldn't make it work for a long time. Eventually, they broke up once again.

After that, Betty fell in love again with another guy, but her boyfriend’s mom didn’t like her. Sadly, things didn't work out between the pair, and they called it quits before things got serious.

Besides, Betty is now featuring in the new reality show Cartel Crew. The news was confirmed by MTO News back in September 2019. The VH1 series Cartel Crew aired their first episode on 7 October 2019.
