In 2013, cancer came back with a vengeance when cancer spread to his lungs. In November 2016, the news just kept getting worse when he was diagnosed with brain tumor. He then went through Gamma Knife Radiosurgery where he got treatment from best doctors like Dr. David Pfister, Dr. Keith Bible and Dr. Steven Sherman at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
The treatment then onto the hands of the miracle when his thyroid cancer turned into a rare yet deadly form of cancer called Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer which resists treatment.
He was then hospitalized after ongoing cancer complications on 28th July 2017. Then, Jill, 53 claimed that after a recent setback in the treatment of Bobby, they are hoping for the miracle.

Bobby’s wife Jill was in final stages of preparation for fifth Annual Hamptons Gala that raises money for International Thyroid Oncology Group when the calamitous complications occurred. Many speculated that after Bobby being hospitalized she would drop out of the event.
But to the surprise, she decided to go on to the event and said that she is more determined to raise as many fortunes as possible to help Bobby and patients like him who is battling thyroid cancer.
On 29th July 2017, the event was a grand success, and it was attended by friends and foe alike. The mega event that raised massive sum had the gracious presence of Ramona Singers, Kathy Wakile, Kelly Bensimon, Luann De Lesseps, Tinsley Mortimer, Gizelle Bryant, Cindy Barshop, and Marysol Patton in New York.
Ramona and Jill particularly had the past to forget as they were arch rivals in the TV show but the recent event made their friendship stronger than ever.
