Bryant Gumbel was married to June Carlyn Baranco on 1st December 1973. The former couple is blessed with two children, a son named Bradley born in 1978 and a daughter named Jillian in 1983. In November 2011, their daughter, Jillian Beth Gumbel tied the knot with William Russell Robins.

Bryant and June's relationship turned sour as time passed. In the year 2000, June Baranco accused the sports journalist ex-husband of cheating on her for years with a series of mistress and also leaving her broke despite earning $5 million as a salary. After their divorce was finalized in August 2001 in White Plains County Court before Judge Mark Dillon, she got the pair’s Upper East Side apartment as well as Westchester estate.
