David Brock was in a long-term relationship with a partner, William Grey. The couple started dating back in 2000 and stayed together for ten long years.
However, David's relationship ended on a bitter note, and the ugly turn took the matters to court. After his split with partner William, William sued him in January 2011 and claimed that David wrongly possesses his $170,000 worth of property which included furniture and artworks.
David then countersued William in March 2011 and accused him of blackmailing $850,000. He also revealed that his ex-partner threatened him to uncover his financial mischief to the donors and IRS. According to Dailymail, David sold his $1.5 million mansion to pay the ransom.
David revealed that he received emails from William in September 2010, and also reported the police. The incident came to light only when William took the battle to court in early 2011.
