During his teenage, Duff used to play ice hockey for McLean High school. Later in 1993, he graduated from Sandwich High School. To pursue his higher education, the TV personality went to the University of Maryland in Baltimore and graduated with degrees in history and philosophy.
As he was always interested in cooking, Duff then went to the Culinary Institute of America located at Greystone in St. Helena, California.

The Ace of Cakes star had not just one, but five cakes for the husband and wife’s special day. The first three cakes were ocean-themed, suspended in the air from the ceiling with sugar sea bubbles and edible leafy sea dragon cakes. The cake for the bride was more of a traditional white cake which was piped to look like the lace on the dress of his to-be wife.
The fifth cake was for the groom, which was not a cake per se. It was instead a meat “cake” made out of the groom’s favorite meat dishes such as meatballs, meatloaf, lamb schwarma, and Pennsylvania scrapple; all of them tiered in the same order.

Duff Goldman’s career began long before he even went to the Culinary Institute of America. He was only four years old when his mom caught him in the kitchen with a meat cleaver while watching a cooking show on TV.
