Gwen Ifill, a revolutionary reporter and journalist who reported the White House, Congress, and national campaigns throughout over thirty years for the Washington Post, The New York Times, NBC and most apparently, PBS, died Monday, November 14, 2016, at a hospice in Washington. Gwen was sixty-one. However, the reason was a problem of uterine cancer, her brother Roberto told.

In an outstanding career, Ms. Gwen was in the vanguard of a journalist forefront as a black lady in a field controlled by the white guy.

However, Ifill achieved her excessive visibility most currently, as the moderator and managing editor of the public affair show "Washington Week" on PBS and the co-presenter and co-managing editor, with Judy Woodruff, of "PBS NewsHour," participating in the major broadcast and cable channels for the nightly news viewership.
