She is an American song composer, writer and lead singer of Mazzy Star Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions. Hope Sandoval is a one woman band known notably by her use of the Headless Tambourine and is well recognized by the many albums she put out. Over the time she has been in the music industry, she has made a name for herself, singing and playing her way on tour with all sorts of artist around the world.

Active in her career since she started her first album in the band Mazzy Star, “She Hangs Brightly,” released in 1990. They did not get commercial success at first, but on their second album they did, however, with the song "Fade into You." Soon after she created another album called Among My Swan, but she soon decided to form The Warm Inventions in 2000 and released her first solo album Bavarian Fruit Bread in 2001.
In 2009 she created their second album, Through the Devil Softly. Their latest catch up with modern music is when they announced their 7" vinyl single titled "Isn't It True" for Record Store Day 2016. This year, in 2017 she gave contribution in her vocals towards the song "I Don't Mind" by Psychic Ills and collaboration with Massive Attack releasing the song "The Spoils" four months later for the third time.
