Welsh Newsreader Huw Edwards is acknowledged as the leading anchor of the BBC’s breaking news across the United Kingdom. Huw’s ally with BBC spans over three decades and still carries the flagship of the network’s most beloved evening show, BBC News at Ten.
Wife Works With His Rival Channel
Huw is married to former BBC Producer, Vicky Flind. The pair’s initial meeting was back in the days when Huw worked as a BBC correspondent at Westminster. However, both the husband and wife remain low-key to reveal any relevant information about their matrimony. Huw shares five children; three sons named Dan, Amos and Sammy and two daughters, Hannah and Rebecca Edwards with his beloved spouse.
His wife was a long-time editor of The Week Politics Show on the BBC Network.

"They just about managed 2 million – having conspired to lose 4 million viewers in a few minutes after the excellent Doc Martin. We were watched by 4.4million. So it’s business as usual.”
Although it was a tough choice for his better half to leave her job at BBC, she was reportedly excited to work with Peston.

Huw salary decreased after 20% remuneration cut, which is equivalent to around £120,000 a year at BBC. He was reportedly earning a stupendous salary between £550,000 and £599,000. However, after gender pay inequality, he agreed to a pay cut in June 2018.
Huw was listed as one of the highest earning BBC reporters. However, after his pay cut, he is entitled to a wage package of £450,000. The BBC had also proposed an agreement rule of £320,000 pay cap on its news readers after the altercation over gender pay inequality.

Huw’s late father, Hywel Teifi Edwards was a Welsh Language activist and a Research Professor of Welsh-language Literature at the University College, Swansea. He opened a University cafe, Hoffi Coffi at Swansea University on 17 March 2011 in the memory of his late dad, which aids Welsh speakers and learners to socialize.
His mother, Aerona Protheroe was a teacher and taught at the bilingual school named Llanelli's Ysgol Gyfun y Strade for over three decades. Huw is very close to his mom, and the relationship between them is very significant. He had posted a sweet Mother’s Day Tweet for Aerona and all the people missing their mum’s on 11 March 2018.
Huw on his 2012 interview with Dailymail talked his favorite book to be How Green Was My Valley by Richard Llewellyn. He feels connected to Richard publication, which depicts the hardship of the people from the mining community since his maternal grandfather passed at the mining accident when he was 28 years of age.
