Jahira said Yes, to her future husband-to-be Cesar Milan in 2016 after Cesar surprised her with a grant proposal. The duo got engaged in March 2016 during their holiday in Greece. He kissed in his fiancée's left hand which consisted a glittery giant engagement ring. Cesar further planned to surprise his fiancé in one of the most exotic locations: Athens, Greece. The TV producer announced the news of their engagement via Instagram on 25th April 2016.

The Mexican-American dog behaviorist could not hide his tender feelings towards his ladylove and inscribed Jahira as a compassionate and loving personality in his official website. Her proud fiancé even declared that his 'pack is complete' after she accepted his romantic proposal. Moreover, Cesar beamed as he found his soulmate who is a dog lover like him.

He later provided the details of his engagement in an interview with People and said that:
After six amazing years together, I am so happy I asked her to be my wife. Thankfully, she said ‘yes’! My pack is complete!
The lovebirds were supposed to travel to Spain for their Getaway, but Cesar canceled the ticket at the last moment and changed their destination location.
The couple is dating for more than eight years now as they started sharing a romantic relationship in August 2010. Since then, Jahira has become a household person to rebuild Cesar's life following his once-estranged relationship. The animal lover even received an adorable parrot as Valentine's gift from Jahiara in February 2014.

Cesar was already in a marital relationship with his previous wife, Ilusion Millan after the duo got married in 1994. The ex-flames is a parent to two children, Andre in 1995 and Calvin in 2001.
It was reported in June 2010 that Ilusion filed for divorce and asked for physical custody of her sons and spousal support. 2010 was a tragic year for Ilusion as she attempted suicide after their dog Daddy died in February.
