Career and Progression:

Jay Onrait embarked his professional career in journalism as an editorial assistant while attending Ryerson University. The presenter then worked as a sports director at CFSK-TV in Saskatoon and host of the The Big Breakfast on the A-Channel in Winnipeg. In 2001, he entered NHL Network and served as host for both the network's flagship show, Molson That's Hockey 2 and NHL on the Fly.

Moreover, Jay also hosted SportsCenter alongside Dan’O Toole in 2003 and Sportscentre Morning Rush on TSN2 between 2010- 2011. The famous host has co-hosted in 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Jay later left Sportscenter in 2013 for joining a newly formed Fox Sports 1 in Los Angeles. The anchor along with Dan O Toole debuted the show in August 2013 and ceased to feature in the show after the program was canceled and the two broadcasters' contracts were not renewed in February 2017.
