The Arm Hang Challange
Jeff Cavaliere and Jesse Laico attempted the 100 seconds, 100 dollars challenge for the Athlean-X video in early October. The hang challenge has a rotating bar rather than a steady one making it harder for a grip. The challenge required stamina, forearm strength, and good old-fashioned mental toughness and fortitude. It's a little more complex than just jumping up to the bar and hanging. Jeff said that the arms hang one of those under-appreciated exercises that sneak in and kill you when you do it.
Providing a baseline for the challenge; Jeff lasted for 2 minutes 51 seconds while Jesse lasted for 2 minutes 7 seconds. But this was in a straight bar. When it came to the rotating bar, Jesse hung up for 1 minute 25 seconds, just 15 seconds off the goal, while Jeff passed the 100 seconds mark by holding up to 1 minute 53 seconds, 13 sec longer than the target. Though he passed the challenge, he admitted that it was way harder than the straight bar.
