Career And Progression

Julie started her career as a banker. She was following a career in banking before she got her calling in 2000 after spending time at sea. She has traveled to many parts of the worlds including, China, Hong Kong, South Africa, Cuba, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia, India, and Vietnam. During her travel period, she made the passion for storytelling, which helped her to flourish her skills develop in the presentation.

Her media career started from 2007 when she hosted breaking and feature news, both at WPIX channel. There she also hosted 'Truly Julie' at CW11 Morning News. After CW11 she joined fox 5 New York, where she worked until September 2012. Afterward, she began to work in the station of WNYW which is sister station, KTTV and Julie have been working as the entertainment Anchor for Good Day LA & the Fox11 morning news. Julie declared in mid-November of 2013 that she would be taking medical retire to treat a brain tumor. And she came back from medical retire in 22nd January 2014.

Julie Chang is a married girl. She got married to Leif Drake on 12 July 2014 at Hammersky Vineyards. Julie and her husband first met in high school as they both studied at rival schools in Ann Arbor. At that time, Julie was dating Leif's best friend's older brother.

Unlike other couples, they had a different start to their relationship. They met through mutual friends and after 15 years from being separated from the college, they got reunited while working on a project in Ann Arbor. It was the time when their love story began and strangely Lief proposed Julie on the day when she was thinking to break up with him. The reason she wanted to leave him was that she had a brain tumor and Julie did not want to drag Lief into that.

The son was born on 22 February 2015 and recently on July 2018, the couple was blessed with a daughter. She announced the birth of her second child on Instagram with a picture including herself, her husband, son and newly born daughter.
