An American journalist and political pundit, Mara Liasson is currently the national political correspondent for National Public Radio. Mara is a panelist on Fox News Sunday and daily contributor to Special Report with Bret Baier. She previously served as a white house correspondent and received White House Correspondents' Association's Merriman Smith Award.

Mara started her career as a television reporter and freelance radio in San Francisco and worked at KPFA before entering NPR in 1985. The talented reporter studied at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism from 1988-89 after being awarded Knight-Bagehot Fellowship. After completing the course, Mara served as NPR’s White House Correspondent from 1992- 2001 and received White House Correspondents' Association's Merriman Smith Award for daily news coverage from 1994-97.
