Martel Maxwell is a Scottish television-radio presenter prominently known for hosting the daytime show Homes Under the Hammer. Also, she has worked alongside Fred McAulay on BBC Radio Scotland, The One Show, Landward, and BBC Inspired.

Along with her career in journalism, she has named herself a profound writer with her debut novel, Scandalous, which was published in 2010. It was a book based on the experiences of her as a showbusiness reporter.

Married Life; Husband!

The Scottish television-radio presenter, Martel Maxwell, has been married to Jaime Parratt for eight years. The lovely pair shared their wedding vows back on 27 April 2012.

After a year of their marriage, Martel and Jaime moved to Dundee from London, where she also began her career in Evening Telegraph. Since then, they have been relishing their life to the fullest, as evident on their social media posts.

Children

In the course of Martel's seven years of married life, she and her husband, Jaime Parratt, has welcomed three children. The love-duo got blessed with their first children, Monty, in 2013.

A year later, they welcomed their second son, Chester, on 26 November 2014. Furthermore, the family of four added a fourth member named Guthrie, who now ages two.

Currently, Martel and Jamie enclose a close bond with their children and spend quality moments with them.

Her Career

The Law graduate from Edinburgh University first started her journalism career working for The Sun. There, she spent almost seven years as a reporter in city, showbusiness, and women's news. After that, she joined the London City University for a diploma in newspaper journalism. She then started freelancing and wrote pieces for The Scottish Sun. Likewise, during her initial phase of service, Martel wrote for the Bizarre column. Also, she has written a weekly column for the Evening Telegraph since 2013 in Dundee.  

Throughout the years, she has written novels based on her experience as a journalist, appeared on television and radio in the UK, interviewed entertainment celebrities, and occasionally supported her beloved Scotland. She guest presented on BBC Radio Scotland and started her show, Talk 107, in 2008. 

In 2010, she moved to broadcast journalism and became a reporter on the BBC showThe One Show. Then, she became an entertainment guest at an ITV show named Lorraine. She was also one of the presenters of a BBC3 consumer affairs show Don't Get Screwed, and Scotland magazine show called On the Road.

In 2017, she joined the popular daytime show, Homes Under The Hammer, filling Lucy Alexander's vacant post left in 2016. She was one of the third presenters of the BBC property program.

Besides that, Martel has worked on a couple of Talk Shows, including The Sun Talk.
