The news of Shay's baby came after three months of her pregnancy announcement. On the 28th of June, 2019, Shay announced her pregnancy on social media with a photo of her proudly showing a baby bump. The excitement enhanced when she included her boyfriend in her footage that was posted through her YouTube channel. It was the first time Shay revealed her boyfriend on her channel.
In addition to pregnancy news, they had already determined the baby gender and was ready to welcome their baby girl.
