When you stand against the brute force of 15 feet alligator, your chances of survival are slim but for Paul Bedard its nothing than just a piece of cake. He has daily encounters with such monsters and lives in the passion for transporting them into the safer locations for both human and alligators. The New England native, Paul is best known for his appearance on the TV show called “Gator Boys.”
Career as Gator Boys:
The graduate from the University of Massachusetts was an athlete since his early ages and was more inclined towards nature than luxurious life. At the age of 20, he ran for Ironman-distance race. After four years of Iron-distance race, he took on double-Ironman-distance racing and finished ultra-distance triathlon.
After years on the athletic field, he then met Jimmy Riffle and began working together at Native Village. Then, they founded the “GATOR BOYS Alligator Rescue” and are on a life-long mission to rescue alligators trapped in the property of ordinary people and harmlessly transport them in the safe areas. After working for several years in alligator rescue, they became the cast of popular Animal Planet show called “Gator Boys.” The show focuses on their team effort to trap alligators in people’s property and is a massive hit since its release on 1st January 2012.
Paul’s Near Death Experience at “Gator Boys”:
In his passion and profession, injury and near death moments are nothing new, and he goes through them on a daily basis. Viewers can see him mouth his face in the mouth of gator, but they never witness the danger behind that scene.
Back in August 2013, while wrestling with an alligator, he was rushed to hospital after getting bitten by a 10-foot alligator. After the alligator attack, he then said with nydailynews.com:
“I suffered a minor alligator bite and am being treated for an infection. I've been bitten over 30 times and this happens when you have a job like mine. Thank you for your thoughts and well wishes.”
After taking medication Broward Health Medical Center, he recovered and carried with his life-threatening profession.
Paul is Not Married!
He lives a crazy lifestyle, and it may come as a surprise, but he doesn’t own a TV and doesn’t use the internet. His extreme lifestyle inevitably brings out a nomadic person out of him, but it comes at the expense of single life.
As of now, he is not married and doesn’t have a wife. But Paul enjoys his life to fullest and says that his whole year is a vacation and contradicts to the lifestyle of many who work for 11 and half months to get a three-week vacation.
He remains a secretive man and rarely reveals anything about his personal life. Few unconfirmed wiki sources claim that he has a girlfriend named Sara. Though the claim got further mileage after his friend Jimmy said the same, but Paul is still reluctant to share anything which creates confusion about his current status.
