After years of struggle with health, Robert Osborne sadly passed away at the age of 84. However, he is still renowned and respected for devoting his whole life to the television, especially TCM. Meanwhile, Turner Classic Movies (TCM) also feels proud to honor late host Robert as they have introduced the award function in remembrance of Robert named Robert Osborne Award.
Robert Osborne had won Publicists Guild of America 1984 Press Award. Also, Academy of Art University rewarded him an Honorary Doctorate in 2005 and 2006 he was awarded a star at Vine on the street on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Robert Osborne Dies At 84!
On Monday, 6 March 2017, the exemplary film lost one of its most impassioned champions, Robert Osborne, the film history specialist and dearest TCM have. He passed away at his New York City apartment in the Osborne. And as confirmed by Advocate magazine, he died of natural causes in his sleep at his New York home. But in the obituary, his family stated that he died of kidney disease.
TCM affirmed the news on Monday, with an announcement saying;
"Every one of us at Turner Classic Movies has profoundly disheartened by the passing of Robert Osborne. Robert had grasped by dedicated fans who considered him to be a put stock in master and companion. His calming nearness, great style, all-encompassing learning of film history, strong support for film conservation, and highly personal interviewing style all consolidated to make him a world-class have.
The network additionally discharged a video in tribute to Osborne, the energetic host of TCM since the cable channel had propelled in 1994.
Robert Osborne's Net Worth Before Death
Robert, who died at the age of 84, garnered the net worth from his five decades of his experiences on television. Starting a career as a contract actor for Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball's Desilu Studios, he has worked as the host for numerous TV network including The Hollywood Reporter, KTTV Channel 11, The Movie Channel and few more.
Later, he was selected as the host of Turner Classic Movies. In 2006, he co-hosted TCM's The Essentials. However, in 2011, the KTTV host took a short break from the network after his health became worst. Because of the illness, he later left his job in 2016. Though he had a health problem, he never had any surgery.

Osborne’s Love Life
Behind every successful person, there is a woman. However, Robert did not have any dating history or any issues of affairs with any woman who could be credited for his achievements. The classic man was able to keep his personal life very low profile.
However, it has come to light that he and his partner, David Staller, were reportedly in an intimate relationship with each other for 20 years. While the pair were hiding their relationship from the media, they became the gossip in the media when they appeared in the Gingold Theatrical Group’s St. Patrick’s Day Gala in 2010. The two were also captured in the same frame together. Robert and his partner never had any children.
