A separation between the parents can sometimes be cruel to bear for a kid. The court ordered the celebrated kid Ryder Robinson, who was at the tender age of 14, to choose the living arrangement between his estranged parents.
He is known as a son of Almost Famous actress Kate Garry Hudson and The Black Crowes frontman Christopher Mark Robinson.

Ryder's musician dad Chris married the Los Angeles native actress Kate on 31 December 2000. Their son, Ryder was at the tender age of two when his parents divorced on 25 October 2007. At that time, the court granted joint custody to the estranged couples.

Following the split, The Black Crowes frontman Chris married Allison Bridges in 2009 and welcomed a daughter Cheyenne Genevieve Robinson. Ryder's mother Kate also engaged Matt Bellamy in April 2011 and welcomed their son Bingham Hawn Bellamy on 9 June 2011. However, she ended her engagement on December 2014 and stayed on a good-term with the Muse frontman. She then started dating Danny Fujikawa.

After nearly ten years of Ryder's parents split, his musician dad Chris filed a petition in Los Angeles Superior Court challenging the custody agreement he had with Kate over their son on 6 February 2017. He wanted full custody of their son and a child support payment from his ex-wife. According to the source, the musician disagreed over the parenting style of the actress and wanted more guidance over his son.
According to the documents, the estranged couple agreed to undergo evaluation interviews where their son Ryder would decide his suitable living agreement. The report also added that Ryder's mom Kate shall be responsible for the amount of $7,500 for the evaluation.
Meanwhile, the court paper stated that the evaluator would perform the assessment of child custody and issue a written report. The court will develop a parenting plan and addressed the legal and physical custody and decide where Ryder would reside and visit upon his interest.

Mother Wished Birthday; Family Vacation In Greece
During Ryder's 14th birthday on 7 January 2018, his mother Kate took her Instagram and shared a rare picture of him. The proud mother wished him birthday and captioned:
"And then he turned 14... but always my baby. Cried twice today already. You feeling me parents?! Where does the time go? Ryder Robinson, you are one spectacular young man and I am one proud Mama! Happy Birthday, sweetheart @mr.ryderrobinson."
In June 2018, he went on a family vacation in Greece and enjoyed a boat ride with his father, Chris. On the family trip, he also rejoiced the moment with his mother Kate and her boyfriend, Danny. Kate shared a photo of Ryder and her ex-husband, Chris; who both went shirtless and wore the same matching sunglasses.

The family vacation which Kate took in Greece serves as the memoir of her expected first daughter. She and her boyfriend, Danny revealed they were becoming parents in May 2018. They wanted to spend a vacation in Europe one last time before welcoming their daughter.
