The broadcast journalist had many of the tragedies in her professional life, however, none of the matches the intensity of near-tragedy night in 2004. She was doing her assignment in Hackensack, New Jersey in that rainy night, but suddenly found herself in a nightmare. She was struck by a hit-and-run driver throwing her ten feet away into the air while covering a story for ‘Eyewitness News.’
She tricked death despite her severe injuries. However, the nightmare did not end there but continued with numerous surgeries and months of physical therapy. It was the night that changed her forever with her much more challenging recovery.
She returned to her professional work to ‘Eyewitness News’ on December 13, 2004. Her outstanding efforts were recognized with the NJ Governor’s Representative Award for Traffic Safety.
Her tragedy made a month absence on her work which she later explained through her social media by her accident.
