Sam Milby, also widely known as Samuel Lloyd Lacia Milby, embedded his name in the acting world after landing a prominent role in the movie “Pinoy Big Brother” in 2005. Now, Sam is an established actor and a TV personality. Before involving in acting, he was a competitive ice skater.

Hailing from Troy, Ohio, Sam Milby was born on 23 May 1984.

Talking about his physical stature, Sam has an appealing height of 5 feet and 11 inches (1.8 meters).

Throughout his acting career, his name had been linked with many women. But the fact is, he dated two women in his life. Turning his on-screen romance into the real-life affair, Sam started flourishing his buds of love with Actress Anne Curtis since 2007. But their relationship couldn’t withstand for long and nearly after a year they called it quit in November 2008.

His former girlfriend Anne confirmed their split in an interview with ‘The Buzz,’ citing that she had been inclined to God. Even after the breakup, they had maintained a friendly tie.  It proved to be true when they were spotted together on the same platform promoting their movies “The Gifted” after four years of their split.

After spending some years chiseling his acting career, Sam gave his love a second try sharing his heart with a Filipino-British Model Mari Jasmine. In July 2016, he admitted his affairs with Mari Jasmine in ABS-CBN show. Together, the lovebirds had a good time, and they were even found sharing their feelings on social media. 

Unfortunately, in March 2018, they decided to stay apart without disclosing any reasons for their quits.

But it didn’t take long for the public to find the truth when Mari Jasmine publicly disclosed on Instagram that she is a lesbian. It was already evident that Mari was in an affair with female director Samantha Lee. Even though it was a surprising thing for Sam Milby, he remained supportive to her choice.

Forgetting his bitter past, in a press conference of September 2019, Sam revealed that he was interested in somebody who is his inspiration. He said;

"I'm interested and inspired by somebody. I'm interested. It's too early naman basta in the future if it pushes through and something happens I'll share with you guys.Semi-showbiz. Basta if ever... I'm not giving you any clues on it anyway,"

Although he didn’t open up about his ties, he gave a clear indication that he is likely to have been dating someone.

About Being Gay

Amid wide speculation of being gay, Sam Milby agreed to play a gay role in a romantic comedy named “The Third Party.” According to an entertainment inquirer, he agreed to do a gay role without any shilly-shallying in October 2016. 

Besides, in an interview with ABS-CBN News, he said that he accepted doing a Gay role for the first time as he loves new challenges.

Sam Milby is the youngest son of his mother, Filipina Elsie Lacia, and father, Lloyd Milby. He has a sibling sister in the family. His mom is a native of Surigao Philippines, whereas his entrepreneur father hails from Dayton, Ohio. So, Sam possesses a mixed ethnicity (Filipina, Boholano, English, German, and Irish ancestry.

Apart from this, his grandfather and grandmother ancestral lineage from maternal and paternal side represent mixed ethnicity. So considering their ancestral aspects, Sam Milby is a cross of Irish-German-English father and Filipino-Boholano mother.
