When you engulf yourself in a career, it doesn’t necessarily guarantee you success at the very first go. Steven Cree who moved to London to make a stride in his career ended up working at bars and restaurant. But with the amount of maturity he possesses, giving up on his dream was never an option. Although being the husband of casting director, Kahleen Crawford, Steven never really used that privilege to get works and has never been hired by his wife.
Career and Progression:
At the age of fifteen, Steven Cree headed off to London to pursue his acting career but ended up getting a job at bars and restaurant. After nerve cracking eleven years in London, he headed back to Scotland and landed a succession of theatre roles. He then played a small role in ‘G Force’ in 2001 where he portrayed the role of Gerry. In 2012, he bagged the role in ‘John Carter’ (2012), ‘Tower Black’ (2012), and ‘Having You’ (2013).
Likewise, Cree saw his fortunes turn upside down when he bagged the role in classic movie ‘300: Rise of an Empire’ and ‘Maleficent’ in 2014 which propelled his career to stardom. In the same year, he was cast as the Ian Murray in ‘Outlander’ alongside Sophie Skelton and Stephen Walters.
Steven is a Married Man!
It may come as a big upset to the ladies fans, but the ‘Outlander’ star is a married man and is fully committed to his relationship. In the interview with Herald Scotland, Steven revealed that he has a wife who happens to be a talented and accomplished casting director, Kahleen Crawford.
On the candid interview, he said that his wife has never hired him and there is no nepotism. Upon asked his wedding, he confessed that his marriage was just two days after filming, and he looked like a Second World War groom. But his girlfriend at that time, Kahleen never complained as she was exchanging vows with one of the hottest Scottish actors.
Though there is limited information about when the duo met, they must have been dating for years before further commitment in the relationship.
The actor, who was born to an average family, made it big in the industry and had worked alongside great models such as, Angelina Jolie, Eva Green, and Laura Donnelly who adds perfect icing to the cake.

Although there is lack of information about his family, Cree mentioned that he still hears his brother’s voice.The actor said that his brother doesn’t speak to him, but is secretly proud of his achievements.
