She was also in a romantic relation with singer Cliff Richard in eighties. Cliff is the award-winning British singer and actor known for Take me High, Two a Penny and Expresso Bongo. Their love affair attracted massive attention in the media at that time.
In an interview with Dailymail in August 2014, Cliff told the interviewer that he was seriously planning to share wedding vows with Sue when they were together. But later, he realized that he didn’t love her enough to commit the rest of his life to her. They are still good friends even today.
