You must love your job very much to come back even after retirement. Verne Lundquist is a sportscaster who retired in the December last year before returning for the March madness. He currently works for the CBS Network where he calls play by play for its coverage of NCAA Basketball and is also a commentator for the Masters and the PGA Championship. He played basketball and baseball and was a disc jockey at WOC in his youth.

The commentator and play by play announcer have made several great calls during his job. He even got to portray himself as one in the 1996 motion picture Happy Gilmore. The leader and founder of the Omega Tau Fraternity in his college days used his golden voice for preaching in his classroom.
He began a career as the sports anchor for WFAA in Dallas and worked for several different networks before joining the ABC Network from 1974 to 1981, CBS from 1982 to 1995 later the TNT cable where he stayed for two years. He returned and worked for the CBS until December 2016 before retiring. He continues to contribute to the network for its sports programs.

He recalls the incident with a smile as he fell for the woman at their very first meeting and even though she was with another man from who he stole her.
