Vicky's Husband's Death; Their Wedding And Encounter Story

Vicky Karayiannis is a widow of late American rock singer, Chris Cornell. To this date, her husband's death has been shrouded in mystery. In the dark day of 17 May 2017, the legendary musician was found dead inside Detroit hotel. The Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office sadly announced he committed suicide by hanging.

Vicky blamed her husband's doctor for his suicide, and in November 2018, it was revealed that she was prosecuting the doctors for prescribing the drugs. She insisted that the doctors should never have prescribed the drugs to her late husband which resulted in his death.

The wife of the Audioslave singer opened the chapter's of her husband depression and said that while he was suffering from a shoulder injury, doctors prescribed him of psychoactive drugs, a benzodiazepine. According to her Good Morning America interview, Vicky said:

He had torn his shoulder and he had complained that the pain in the shoulder was waking up. In retrospect I’ve learned, it’s not supposed to be given to anyone in recovery and if you have to give it, they have to be closely monitored and it should not be given for more than two-three weeks.

Chris was survived by his wife of 13 years Vicky and their three children, Lillian Jean Cornell, Christopher Nicholas Cornell, and Toni Cornell. After the former duo had their wedding in 2004 in Paris, they welcomed their son Christopher Nicholas in 2005. Their daughter Toni was born in the year 2004.

Before Vicky, Chris was married to Alice In Chains manager Sarah Silver and had a daughter Lilian Jean in 2000. They got divorced in 2004.

The fateful encounter of the former couple way dates back to 2003 when Chris was on a French tour with his band Audioslave. The rock-star romantically purposed his lady love in a French bar, and during their engagement, he reportedly gave her a Harry Winston diamond ring.
