In the tv series, his cast member, Yvonne Orji portrayed the character of Molly Carter. Insecure stars Issa Rae in the lead role while other cast members include Jay Ellis, Dominique Perry, Lisa Joyce, and many more.
During the one of an episode of Insecure, cast members like Y'lan Noel, Wade Allain-Marcus, Jay Ellis, and Sarunas J. Jackson were spotted showing off their physiques in May 2018. After that lots of criticizing comment stormed on the internet and handful of homophobic trolls were left press.

After then, Y'lan's cast member Sarunas J. Jackson came out and defended his cast members. He responded to the negative comment on homosexuality and said that being a gay is not an issue.
“How homophobic can people be? You know, we’re a group of men, who had our shirts off, and we’re doing GQ’s comedy issue, and we’re being called gay, up and down, right? Mind you, none of us are gay in that group, and even if any of us were, who cares? That’s not the issue. I’ll tell [you] what the problem is, though.”
He was seen supporting the LGBT community and told people to respect them.
Does Y’lan Have Secretive Girlfriend?
Y'lan Noel has remained silent about revealing his possible girlfriend. He has rarely been seen attending any event with ladies, which makes hard to know about his possible dating affair.
He also doesn't have any official social media accounts. Speaking with The Fader magazine, he said that he’s “too boring” for social media and his IG would be “weak.” Thus, he is private and has remained tight-lipped to revealed about his love affair with fans. As of now, he is yet to gush about his possible girlfriend to his fan.
The 30-years-old actor also appeared in the horror thriller, The First Purge in 2018 and played the leading role of Dmitri. For 2019, he is set to portray a character in The Weekend. So, Y'lan is concentrating on his career rather than dating a girl.
