Breckynn Willis rose to the limelight after being disqualified from the 100m freestyle in a school contest for her unnatural display of sensual parts of the body in September 2019. After the incident, she also appeared in the same revealing swimsuit for team relay; however, got no penalty.

Breckynn, who won the 100m freestyle in a school contest on 6 September 2019, revealed too much of her backside body part during the celebration. The incident led to the disqualification of the winner after the poolside referee ruled the decision over her.

As per the reports of Anchorage, Alaska, US, the referee mentioned that Breckynn's swimsuit “was so far up he could see butt cheek touching butt cheek.’’ Later, the Alaska School Activities Association overturned Breckynn's disqualification.

The association stated that the decision to single out the girl for a uniform violation was “based solely on how a standard, school-issued uniform happened to fit the shape of her body.” The modesty rule of the National Federation of State High School Associations mentions that female's swimsuit must cover their breasts and buttocks.
On the other hand, the disqualification of the young and talented swimmer did create the crater of accusations regarding sexism and racism as she was only the mixed-race girl participating in the competition.

Breckynn's mother came with a revelation that the same referee previously criticized Kowatch's suit for fitting her body during another swim meet. Also, she added that her daughter wore the same swimwear every other member of the squad wears to compete.
