Jay's excitement for the anticipated birth of his daughter was quite visible on his Instagram. Before the birth of Amelia, he shared several clips and posts in which the former 'Austin Toros' NBA player marked the enthusiasm for his big day. After his wife, Nikky safely delivered their daughter; Jay shared tiny footprints of the new-born toddler.

The ESPN television analyst revealed that he and his wife were expecting their daughter just two days after tying the knot with Nikki on 3 May 2018. In the reveal party at Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Jay declared that the couple is expecting their daughter to be born in October 2018.
A Short-Lived Career
Beginning at an early, he came to prominence after playing basketball in high school. He had excellent performance as a player and made some remarkable achievements too.
In college, he was named ACC Rookie of the Year and National Freshman of the Year by the Sporting News. In 2001, he led the team to NCAA National Championship and earned NABC Player of the Year honors.
Williams was considered the best player while in college, winning both Naismith Award and Wooden Award in 2002 as College Basketball’s Player of the year. In 2002, Williams was selected by the Chicago Bulls but could only spend a year there.
An Accident That Cost His Career
In 2003, his life took a different turn. He met an accident that changed his life forever. His injuries included dislocation of the ligament in his knee, fractured pelvis and severed main nerve in his leg.
Following the accident, he did some work for ESPN in 2003 but didn’t join full time until 2008. He tried to resume his basketball career, but it wasn't that easy after the injury.

His career couldn’t make a comeback after it. The stats that he recorded during college career became distant, and he chose to become the motivational speaker, analyst, and recruiter for sports. He also released his autobiography.

And now, he is the spokesperson of Vision Federal Credit Union. He receives a remarkable salary from several jobs and has an estimated net worth of $4 million.
Personal Life And Relationship!!
The former basketball player was dating the television host and sportscaster of Fox Sports 1 and NBC, Charissa Thompson. He appeared in different events with his girlfriend. They first got together when employed by the World Wide Leader in 2011. They also co-hosted ‘Numbers Never Lie’ and ‘ESPN First Take.’
The couple, however, ended their relationship 2014 without revealing the reason for their split.
