Jake Hoot is the winner of the 17th season of The Voice (2019). Professionally, he is praised for writing the original songs besides providing vocals.

He had begun venturing music world from an early age—he started creating music by middle school. Jake first began performing in several venues like college bars and restaurants in Tennessee, before he finally entered the grand stage of The Voice.

His distinct country flavor in music has been able to win the heart of millions of fans.

Journey To The Voice

The Voice approached Jake for auditioning after they discovered him online. He first live-auditioned in Nashville for the producers. Jake was then selected to Los Angeles for blind auditions in front of the four judges Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton. 

He had performed ’When It Rains It Pours by Luke Combs’ for his blind audition, which helped him secure a spot on Kelly Clarkson’s team. Since then, progressing throughout the competition and overwhelming the zest of the audiences, Jake finally won the title of 17th season of the singing reality show The Voice on 17 December 2019, beating the strong contestant Rucky Duran from team Blake, a runner up.

Likewise, Katie Kadan from team John became the second runner up, and Rose Short from the Gwen team secured 4th place in the show.

For the finale of the show, Jake joined with one of his country music idols, Little Big Town, and performed their latest hit Over Drinking.

Net Worth- Prize

As a winner, Jake is taking home the grand prize of $100,000 as well as sealing a record deal with either Republic Records or the Nashville-based Big Machine Records.

Relationship- Married, Wife

Jake Hoot is a father of two kids named Macy and Hadley. The children are from his post-married relationship with an anonymous lady. Later, Jake and the baby mama divorced without mentioning any specific reason.

The divorce was tough for Jake, but through ups and downs in his life-the, the one thing that helped him feel better was the love and support of his daughter.

And now, he has moved on from his failed married relationship and is currently relishing his romantic life with a girlfriend named Bekah.

Jake's parents are Baptist missionaries. He is the second amongst his nine siblings. 

Jake's started singing and playing guitar at the age of nine when his family moved from Texas to the Dominican Republic. Later, his family moved back to Cookeville, Tennessee, in his late teen years.

Jake celebrates his birthday on 7 July. He was born in 1988 in Corpus Christi, Texas. After settling in Tennessee, he attended Tennessee Tech University, where he also was a walk-on footballer in his university team.
