Journalist Jim and his former wife Mika first met at WTIC-TV. After getting used to with each other, they finally found their way towards each other. They married in October 1993 in a Block Island at the West Side Church.
They together have a family of two daughters, Emilie, age 21, and Carlie, age 19. Jim has shared an Instagram picture with his daughter on Instagram, running on the Central Park on 28 June 2017.
