Long-time after working in Sohu, in 2000, Kristie gave a speech about the internet in China at the Hong Kong Foreign Correspondents' Club, where a senior producer of American new- based channel, CNN was present. He asked her to be a guest and offered him a career in television. In 2001, she appeared as a television and dotcom reporter for the news channel, CNN.
