Collaborates With Wife; All About His Stepson

Michael and his wife, Liz Shanahan married on 1 November 1998 and are living a beautiful married life for almost two decades.

Michael Symon first met his Georgina native wife when she worked as the collaborator at his restaurant. He used to love her company but had to wait five years to ask her for their first date. The pair after dating for few years shared wedding vows at the Pilgrim Church, in Cleveland.

He had recently posted a throwback picture along with his wife, Liz on his social sites in July 2018. In the picture, he said that the image was from the first article written about their restaurant, Lola Bistro, which they opened back in 1997.

Apart from the professional work, both the couple shares a similar interest of liking American Football Team, Cleaveland Browns. The Chef posted a picture along with his wife, Liz on his IG handle on 29 October 2015, from the soccer pitch, cheering the Cleaveland Browns.

The pair had gone on a four-day romantic winter vacation to Paris in December 2016. Michael had posted their final holiday picture on his social media page on 30 December 2016 and thanked the place for their short stay. The host even addressed to get back to his work from his holiday and even greeted New Year wishes to his followers.

The couple never had a child in their 19 years together, but Michael has a stepson named Kyle from Liz'a previous relationship. Kyle was reportedly two years old when her mother initially met his step-father.

The Native of Cleveland was the brand ambassador of the city where he was raised. The chef on his interview for Fodors Magazine in 2015 revealed about the culinary scene of the town had tremendously changed over the years. He also further explained that the Republican National Convention in the city and the gay games involved in the event were huge.

Michael on his another Question/Answer session with Sheknows Magazine in 2013 discussed his experience working in Iron Chef. During the rapid-fire session, he said that his favorite food truck is the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck.

In the interview, he also mentioned that Bobby Flay is the toughest Iron Chef. However, in an episode in November 2006, where Bobby Flay teamed up with Giada Pamela De Laurentiis, they fell short of the combo of Rachael Ray and Mario Batali.
