Iranian born British-American actress Nazanin Boniadi is well known for her supporting role as Amira Ahmed in Iron Man (2008), as Elaine in action-crime The Next Three Days (2010) and as Farah in romance-drama Shades of Ray (2008).
Nazanin was involved in theatre from an early age. Later, she moved to the United States at the age of 19 and decided to make a name in the film industry.

Nazanin was born on 22 May 1980 in Tehran, Iran. She is a graduate from the University of California-Irvine with honors in Biological Sciences program with Dean’s Academic Achievement and Service Award. She also won an undergraduate award for her research on heart transplants and cancer treatments.
But later, Nazanin quit her medical career in 2006 to pursue her acting career. She took acting classes for Contemporary Drama at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London and completed the course in 2009.

The Iranian-born actress was reportedly dating Tom Cruise in between October 2004 and January 2005.
According to Vanity Fair, in 2004, the Scientology church led by Shelly Miscavige, a wife of David Miscavige(chief of the church), was in a secret mission to find Tom a girlfriend. Nazanin was selected in the process and but was just told that she had been chosen for an important mission.
In her month-long preparation in October 2004, she had to audit every day, sharing her innermost secrets and every detail of sex life with high-ranking Scientology officials.

Nazanin flew to New York in November 2004 to meet Tom. At first, she sensed it was possibly like an arranged marriage where Tom would be her husband. But, things started to slide off after the second month of dating where Tom would report any fault made by actress back to Scientology church, and then she would be audited for it as the displeasing church would freak out Tom.
By January 2005, They split from one another. But, the drama didn't end right here. Nazanin was transferred to a Scientology Center located in Florida. Eventually, she made a mistake by sharing the secret of her relationship with a friend.
