Paul Sinha, who is famous as a Sinnerman in ITV game show The Chase, flabbergasted fans after he opened up his sexuality as gay for the first time on the show. However, his series of tweets about his partner has confused his fans about his personal affairs.

While Paul was confusing his fans as if he was interested in a male or a female companion, he came with an announcement about his sexuality, which probably solved half of the mystery. In May 2017, Paul openly came out as a gay after he revealed about his ex-boyfriend. While appearing in a quiz show on ITV in May 2017, the show's host asked Paul about Mario Kart but couldn't answer. Finding out the answer, he said that his ex-partner used to play Mario Kart, but he never paid attention to him.

He then added that marriage is not for him either though he passionately support it. He said that he couldn’t put his Hindu parents through the formalities of gay marriage. On Valentines Day 2018, Paul tweeted saying that he was touched by an expensive Valentine's gift, Blondie memorabilia gifted by his boyfriend.
Despite him having doubts about marriage, Paul got engaged to his long-time partner Oliver during January 2019. He announced the news via his Twitter handle he posted :
"I proposed today. He said yes. Thus starts yet another diet."
