Paul Sinha tweets are often related to a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. On 12 January 2016, he took to Twitter and wrote that if he ever gets married, he would like the first dance to be "Absolute Beginners." The comedian then added that he would release it on his future husband's birthday. His tweets about marriage didn't stop right here. But this time he mentioned tweet related to female. On 25 May 2016, he tweeted sarcastically that if he ever marries an Indian princess, his parents would never stop celebrating.
While Paul was confusing his fans as if he was interested in a male or a female companion, he came with an announcement about his sexuality, which probably solved half of the mystery. In May 2017, Paul openly came out as a gay after he revealed about his ex-boyfriend. While appearing in a quiz show on ITV in May 2017, the show's host asked Paul about Mario Kart but couldn't answer. Finding out the answer, he said that his ex-partner used to play Mario Kart, but he never paid attention to him.
Knowing the facts, tons of surprising tweets about fans flooded on Paul's Twitter. Despite the revelation, his co-star Anne Hegerty was surprised by the news. Instead of that she teased saying;
"Twitter has just discovered that Paul Sinha is gay. Well done, Twitter."
Two months later, in November 2017, Paul revealed in an interview with GuysLikeU that he was happy with his boyfriend and was in an open relationship. After that, he insisted saying he couldn't know more about his personal life. He also said:
"Hetero relationships are supposedly based on the idea of procreation and offering a loving environment for your children, therefore by definition would mean monogamy.
Further, the comedian said that he was surprised at the reaction to his sexuality as he had never hidden his sexuality. He said that he had assumed everyone knew about his sexual orientation.
As of now, Paul is dating a fellow quizzer called Oliver. The two reportedly has been dating since 2016 and revealed about his relationship in the interview. He gushed that he has a boyfriend Oliver and the two are the power couple in the world of quizzing. Though the two are dating each other, he yet has not thought of marrying soon. He also revealed that he doesn't want to have kids as he said,
“I don’t want kids, I don’t think my life is conducive to that level of responsibility. Good luck to anyone who wants kids. It’s just not for me and I’ve known that for a long time. Luckily my boyfriend agrees.
He then added that marriage is not for him either though he passionately support it. He said that he couldn’t put his Hindu parents through the formalities of gay marriage. On Valentines Day 2018, Paul tweeted saying that he was touched by an expensive Valentine's gift, Blondie memorabilia gifted by his boyfriend.
Despite him having doubts about marriage, Paul got engaged to his long-time partner Oliver during January 2019. He announced the news via his Twitter handle he posted :
"I proposed today. He said yes. Thus starts yet another diet."
Even though he previously stated he was not marrying a kind and he didn’t want to put his Hindu parents to put upto a gay marriage. He might have considered it might bring shame to them. His parents love and support for his relationship after he told them he had a boyfriend might have changed the mind of the comedian.
