Recently, in April 2019, Stephen was not satisfied after radio host Jamie Theakston made a joke about TV presenter Ant McPartlin and reacted badly to the question. He and Jamie on a live interview chatted at the Heart breakfast show where he was asked whether he would 'accept a lift' from Ant who got charged on drink-drive.
Stephen was left shocked by the question, and before the interview finishes, he only replied 'Wow.' Meanwhile, co-host Lucy Horobin to fill an amusement on the nervous situation shouted 'Jamie' along with his laughter. Ant made a return to Britain's Got Talent in early April 2019 after taking small hiatus from the show over drink-drive charges.

Before his public confirmation about single status, he was in a long-term relationship with an actress. He shared an intimate relationship with former EastEnders actress Emma Barton. Emma Burton even gushed about his then-boyfriend Stephen during an interview with Birmingham Live on 28 May 2009 and revealed that they met in pantomime at Christmas in the summer of 2008. She even added that he is adorable and loves him to death.
However, after dating for years, they separated in the year 2011 and never reconciled. Before Stephen, Emma was married to a man named Nigel Stoate. She divorced her then-husband Nigel in 2006 and went on to have a dating relationship with actor Joel Beckett.

Stephen Mulhern was born as Stephen Daniel Mulhern on 4 April 1977 to his parents Christopher and Maureen Mulhern. Stephen, who currently ages 41, has three siblings in his family. He has a brother named Vinny. He once revealed in his interview with Dailymail that it was his father Christopher who inspired him performing magic tricks. He and his siblings were taught about the speil and tricks of the trade.
The presenter stands at a height of 1.85 m (6 feet and 1 inch). Born in Stratford, London, he is a British citizen and holds British white ethnicity.
