Born as Marcia Louise Fudge on 20 October 1952, Marcia hails from Cleveland, Ohio. The veteran politician in her 60s grew up with her African-American parents in a religious household at Shaker Heights and Warrensville Heights. She had a brother who died due to gun violence.
Marcia attended her high school at Shaker Heights, where she played volleyball and hockey. Marcia then attended The Ohio State University and obtained a bachelor's degree in business. Finally, she graduated from the Cleveland State University Cleveland-Marshall School of Law, acquiring a law degree.
