Although there are not many updates of their family and personal life, Mimi frequently updates of her children through the post on her Twitter. She hopes that the writers keep writing the new ones in all series as it is not easy finding things that the eight years old boys want to read.
She also involves her daughter in many events and marched together on 24 March 2018 in a demonstration against the access to guns. She further added that her daughter somehow understands that the event is all about access to weapons that some people should not have.
Furthermore, she seems very possessive towards the US policy on immigration and how the government of US threats to the people who migrate to the United States. She shared the post on her Twitter stating that she was speechless when she saw her children and thought of people dealing with their children being ripped from the arms of their parents screaming.
